The Past 2 Weeks In Photos
Thank goodness for Project 365! It really proved to be very helpful in times like these when you’ve already forgotten what you did the past two weeks. Since I did not create a separate Tumblr account for my photos, I think it’s a good idea to post them here every once in a while.
The following photos are from January 10 to January 24, 2010:

My family and I went to Quiapo Church (Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene) for Sunday Mass. The Feast of the Black Nazarene had just concluded so a lot of people were there.

Monday found me working on my German homework.

The first time I opened my Tumblr account this year.

I got dismissed at 5:30pm so I decided to just wait for my dad at Trinoma mall so that we can just go home together. And because I actually just wanted him to pay for our taxi fare.

I finally started reading my copy of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for my oral report in LIS 114: Children's Literature.

I spent Friday night at Mael's place for the purpose of installing applications and sharing Mac stuff. She just bought her shiny 13-inch MacBook Pro recently.

I stole this from Mael's bookshelf. MUAHAHAHA!

I painted my nails black.

No internet connection Day 1. I tried to use my SmartBro plug-it but for some weird reason, it doesn't want to work this time around.

No internet connection Day 2. I used my dad's BlackBerry just to check my e-mail.

Our modem was replaced with a new one. I set-up our wireless router once again.

I talked to Liyan via Skype so that we can work on our LIS 161 video report.

I went home late already. I spent the night with Kaye and Alvee at the mall and we watched Avatar. I also happened to be home alone since my parents went to Baguio to visit my little sister.

I attended the 2010 LIS Congress organized by the organization where I'm currently an applicant. The event was held at the IBM Innovation Center. I adore IBM's building so much!

This is our new modem. Unfortunately, it had a fit today and decided to ruin my day by not giving me access to the internet again.
And there you have it, my life the past two weeks in pictures. I think you’ve noticed how much my internet connection was an epic failure the past several days. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I wouldn’t be experiencing any connection problems again soon.
Hi, I'm Michi! I'm a 20-year old college student from the Philippines. I'm a proud fan girl and I'm pretty much hyper and animated in real-life that I'll probably drive you crazy. I also have this huge thing for musicals and no, I'm not a Theater Arts student.
Aw, that stinks that your internet has been so finicky on you over the last few weeks. I completely understand how frustrating that is. For some reason, the wireless at my parents house reaches the entire house BUT it only goes two feet into my room and then stops. It’s very frustrating. So I feel your pain! Albeit, yours sounds worse than mine since I at least had internet.
I’m also jealous of all your books. You guys get much nicer covers over there apparently! Like your Lolita one – I have that website you gave me bookmarked so that when I can afford it, I’ll be able to get the pretty one. :P
I really love the first picture of the church you posted, too. It’s so vibrant and full of life! Plus, I love old-ish buildings. I find them so fascinating. I always wished that North America had more history in terms of architecture.
Krissy’s last entry: On Finding (And Keeping) Your Inspiration
I know it took me quite a long time to reply. I apologize for that.
I’m really hoping our wireless connection will no longer have problems because it drives me insane!
As for the books, I guess we’re lucky to have bookstores that have such wonderful covers but they’re not usually available. One thing one should keep in mind here is to have money all the time because you’ll never know when that cover you’ve always wanted will become available again. I was lucky when I spotted the Lolita one at a Book Fair and it was the last copy left so I didn’t have to think twice. I just grabbed it immediately and paid for it! LOL Good thing they have discounts during book fairs and I got 20% off the price. I hope you’ll be able to buy that cover too! It’s so pretty and you’ll even love the inside artwork!
And thank you! I guess we have to thank those who colonized our country way, way back for that. We were under Spanish rule for more than 300 years followed by the Americans then the Japanese. But I guess it’s quite obvious that the churches and most architecture you’ll find in our country were mainly influenced by the Spanish. :)
