Look who’s finally updated! *evil laughter*

After so many months of somewhat abandoning this site, I’ve finally resurrected it. It’s about time. I found a base theme and created a layout from scratch then just played around with the coding and voila! You’re currently viewing the finished product. I’m still working on some pages but I guess this one works already.

The 2nd semester is finally over and I’m on summer vacation. That should mean more time for me to go online but alas, there’s just too many things to worry about in real life at the moment. I celebrated 2 decades of living last April 18. I had a simple celebration at home and then I just practically spent the whole day being lazy. However, something did make me happy. Let’s just say, my word of the day that time was tachycardia.

Last Monday, I saw 17 Again with Mael and my sister. I actually watched it twice. The 2nd one was the day after (Tuesday) with Mael and Lara. It really helps when you have a friend who has an MTRCB card. Owning one gives you 2 free movie passes so it’s like watching all movies on the big screen for free. If only my parents knew someone who works there, I would’ve applied for one in a heartbeat! Back to the movie, it ’s about a guy (Mike O’Donnell, played by Matthew Perry) who didn’t really like the way his life turned out and wished he could relive his teenage days so he could change it. Then one day he wakes up and is definitely surprised he’s seventeen years old again (played by Zac Efron). I actually enjoyed the movie. One couldn’t simply ignore that Zac Efron is hot. Seeing him play basketball in the movie definitely reminded me of High School Musical and made me think he should be really good in basketball by now. In addition to that, I was sort of expecting him to burst into song all of a sudden. Hehe. But anyway, I find his friend Ned, really hilarious. He makes me want to have a friend who’s a complete dork.

Watching the movie twice somewhat made me think about my life and if I would also like to relive a certain point in my life. At times, of course I’d like to. Those are the times when I wish I have a time machine or I’m like Hiro Nakamura and could go back in time and change whatever mistakes I’ve done. Still, I believe I wouldn’t be the person I am right now if I didn’t acknowledge those mistakes and learn from them. They helped me become a stronger person. Living in regret wouldn’t do me any good so instead, I should rather focus on the present and make the most out of it.

    Woot, you’re back! :D *cheer*

I do want to see 17 Again, despite me being a little “meh” about Zac Efron – though with a stellar cast, it’s a little hard to hold a too-musical-for-my-tastes grudge.

I really, really admired your ending to the entry, because I know quite a bit of people (including myself!) that want to do things over again, but as you said, nobody would learn if they COULD do that. I’ve certainly learned from past mistakes and shitty choices, and I know everybody else (well, that’s debatable *eyes some friends*) has. :D

I like Zach though I’m not really a big fan of him. He actually did really good in the movie. The supporting cast was really amazing as well.

Aww..thank you, dear! I know a lot of us do want that most of the time but yeah, I’m just glad you agree with me as well. But I also have to agree with you that there are some people who really don’t learn anything from their mistakes. Too bad for them. :(

Personally, I kind of dislike Zac Efron along with the other HSM stars and the likes of Miley. (Sounds harsh, doesn’t it? But I just can’t come to like them, for some reason.) Even so, I think I will watch 17 Again, but! Because of Michelle Trachtenberg. *_* She is an awesome actress and that makes me want to see the movie.

There definitely are things I would love to change about my past, but that way I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Everything happens for a reason, after all. No matter how cheesy it sounds, but mistakes are needed in life… there’s a lovely quotation from a Yui Horie song which translates to: “I can keep on living, because it doesn’t go easily.” That’s so true, don’t you think? :)

Don’t worry. I know we all have different opinions. I also kind of dislike the cast except for Zac and the guy who plays Ryan, Ashley Tisdale’s brother in the movie series. Sorry, I can’t remember his name. But anyway, yeah, Michelle’s an awesome actress and I like herI

I absolutely agree with you. I really don’t think what you said was cheesy at all. Also, thank you for that quotation. It’s just so true! :D
